WHY I LOVE LANGUAGES

TASEEN ASHRAFUL SULTANA

Most of us know that learning a second language is not easy. In fact, it is a really difficult thing to do if you are learning the language from zero. Some also hate to learn new languages because of how much time it takes to learn the language. While both of these points are true, learning any language will open a wide number of doors for our future and present.

Learning any language allows us to communicate with one another. Therefore, learning many languages means that we will be able to communicate with a wide range of people all over the world. This is one of my reasons about why I love to learn new languages.

Another reason I love languages is because most people like to travel, this will make their travelling simpler because if they know a variety of languages, communicating with people in that specific country would be much easier.

Yes, learning a new language is hard and takes a lot of work. But, once you have learnt the new language it will stick with you throughout life. Plus, it is pretty cool to say things that none of your friends understand.

I know how to speak in Spanish, English and Bengali. I also know French, but I am still improving my vocabulary, so I can fully speak, read and write in French. These four languages helps me to talk in many different languages and so communicate with people that know the same language. I am only 15 and I know how to speak in all these 4 languages. If I give more dedication to learn more languages, imagine how many people I will be able to communicate with. As I said before it is also very cool to talk in front of my friends in a language that they don’t understand.

And this is why I love languages.
